Margaret V. "Marge" Seubert (29 Oct 1930 – 7 Dec 2014)
Margaret V. "Marge" Seubert, age 84, of Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at her home due to complications from a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. While her death was anticipated, it still came more suddenly than expected.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Thursday, December 11, 2014 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hewitt, WI, with burial in the church cemetery following the service. Fr. Jessie Burish will officiate, with music provided by Margaret’s family together with the St. Michael’s Funeral Choir.

Visitations will be from 4-8pm Wednesday at Rembs Funeral Home and again on Thursday at the church from 10am until service time. There will be a combined Parish and Knights of Columbus Rosary service at 6:30pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Margaret was born to Fred and Meta (Plockelman) Tauchen on October 29, 1930 in the town of Little Black, Taylor County, and resided with her parents on a farm near Dorchester, WI. Besides her parents, she is also predeceased by her sister, Bernice, and her brother Harold Tauchen.

Margaret learned to cook from her mother, and after graduating from Dorchester High School in 1948, she worked as a waitress and cook in restaurants in Abbottsford and Chicago. She moved to Marshfield in 1956 where she owned and operated the Horseshoe Café, later leaving the restaurant business to become a devoted wife and mother. She was united in marriage to Ronald F. Seubert on August 5, 1959. Together they raised four children until Ron passed away on February 14, 1994.

Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother who always put her family and others first. Some of the great joys in Margaret’s life besides her family included reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, feeding and watching the birds, baking, cooking, and singing and listening to music. Laughter and humor were always a large part of her life and she enjoyed retelling and engaging in many family stories.

Margaret was involved in her church and community, serving multiple terms as the President of the Marshfield Area Missionary Society and also as President of the Lady Knights of Columbus. She was a long-time volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital, serving as a Eucharistic minister and as an escort bringing patients to Mass in the hospital chapel.

Margaret is survived by her four children: Greg (Sheri) Seubert of Weyauwega, Ronda Seubert of Little Chute, Brenda (Jody) Frahmann of Marshfield, and Doug Seubert of Marshfield, and by four grandchildren: Mariah and Jordan Frahmann, and Kyle and Dylan Seubert.
