Schiller, Rose M. (14 November 1890 – 14 December 1975)
A native of Clark County and former Neillsville businesswoman, Mrs. Rose M.
Schiller of Memorial Home, died Sunday, December 14, at the age of 85. Funeral
services were held Wednesday morning from St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the
Rev. Joseph Henseler officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. The Rosary
was recited Tuesday evening at the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home, where the body
of Mrs. Schiller was in state.
Born November 14, 1890, in Clark County to Joseph and Azalida LeBrun Barton, she
was educated in the county, attending the Mound School at Christie. Her marriage
to Wm. F. Schiller took place July 22, 1913, at Glendive, Mt.
They returned to Neillsville in 1926 and purchased the H.H. Eberhardt funeral
and furniture business. Mrs. Schiller worked with her husband in the business
for many years, and, following his death on August 17, 1936, continued to
operate the business until 1942. She then worked for McCain’s clothing store for
many years.
Mrs. Schiller, who had been a resident of Memorial Home for the past five years
because of failing health, was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and of its
P.C.C.W.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Schiller of Neillsville, Joseph Schiller of St.
Paul, Mn., and William Schiller of Port Washington; and nine grandchildren and
seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held December 17 from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in
Neillsville for Mrs. Rose M. Schiller, 85, of Memorial Home, who died December
14. The Rev. Joseph Henseler officiated, and burial followed in the parish
cemetery. The Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Elmer A. Georgas, John Bergemann, George Hubing, George
Tibbett, Everett Skroch and Billy Davis. St. Mary’s choir sang. Mrs. Glenn Short
was the organist.

Minneapolis, Mn; Paul Huber, Wolf Point, Mt.; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Belknap, Eau
Claire; Miss Helen Preston, Oshkosh; Miss Rhea Rivard, Madison; Magnus Henrich
and Mrs. Roger Ellis, Rice Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Spaete, Sturgeon Bay; Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Barton, Milwaukee.
