Edward H. Miller, an employee of the Marshfield Street Department for 18 years
prior to his retirement in 1952, died of a cerebral hemorrhage Tuesday at St.
Joseph's Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past week. He was 70
years old.
Mr. Miller was born July 28, 1884 in Watertown. In 1900 he went to the town of
Loyal, where he worked in sawmills and as a thresher. He had lived in Marshfield
since 1921.
His first marriage was to Edna Judd, who died in 1917. In 1921 he was married to
Elsie Neitzel, who died on September 10, 1940.
Mr. Miller is survived by a son, Eddie Miller, Marshfield; two daughters, Miss
Helen Miller, Marshfield, and Mrs. Anton (Elaine) Yehites, Fond du Lac; two
brothers, Max and Alvin Miller, Loyal; five sisters, Mrs. Ed Fulweiler and Mrs.
Nick Beaver, both of Loyal, Mrs. Ernest McIntyre, Neillsville, Mrs. William
Johnson, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Clara Martinek, Decorah, Iowa; and nine
grandchildren.
A son also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday at St. John's Catholic Church with the Vert
Rev. Hugh J. Deeny officiating. Burial will take place in the Loyal Catholic
Cemetery.
Beginning this evening the body will lie in state at the Rembs Funeral Home.
