Schecklman, Leo (23 March 1891-16 January 1986)

NEILLSVILLE--Leo Schecklam, 94, Route 4, Neillsville, was pronounced dead on arrival Thursday evening at Neillsville Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. The Rev. Dennis Lynch will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Sunday at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, where there will be a Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service followed by a general rosary.

He was born March 23, 1891, in the Town of York, a son of George and Anna (Schmidt) Schecklam. He attended Lincoln School. He married Mary Walter June 5, 1917 at Loyal. She died June 5, 1962.

He farmed all his life, until retiring in 1966. They continued to reside on the farm.

He was a member of the Lincoln School Board and St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Survivors include five sons, George of Chili, Anthony, Edward, Robert and James, all of Neillsville; two daughters, Mrs. Roland (Florein) Mueller of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Louis (Rosalind) Auman of Butler; two brothers, Phillip of Neillsville and Albert of Marshfield; 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one granddaughter, two grandsons, one great-grandchild and three sisters.
