Kronberger, Mark Wayne “Butch” (14 February 1954 – 25 March 2020)
Mark “Butch” Wayne Kronberger, 66, died March 25, 2020, at his home in
Neillsville with his family by his side. He passed after a three-year battle
with lung cancer.
He was born Feb. 14, 1954, in Neillsville to Wayne and Ruth (Burr) Kronberger.
Mark graduated from Neillsville High School in 1972. At an early age, Mark
already had a strong work ethic. He started with a large paper delivery route.
He later worked for numerous local businesses, including trimming Christmas
trees, IGA, RC Bottling Works, Gene’s DX Gas Station and the Foundry. Mark
always said, “Any job is worth doing well.” He then dedicated his working career
at Nelson Muffler Corporation (later Cummins) where he worked for 43 years until
his retirement in May 2016.
Mark loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially liked
spending time on his pontoon boat and at his camper by the lake. Other hobbies
included making maple syrup and working in his shop. He put his welding skills
to use, making many projects, including the flip top grills for friends, he was
famous for his grilled chicken using these grills.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Kronberger (Kurtinaitis). They were married
June 2,1995.
Mark is also survived by his mother, Ruth of Neillsville; and five siblings,
Diane (Rich) Friedemann of Stratford, Craig (Diane) Kronberger of Neillsville,
David (Gayle) Kronberger of Neillsville, Lori (Tim) Tresemer of Neillsville and
Keith (Donna) Kronberger of Marshfield.
He has one daughter, Angela Kronberger of Kellogg, MN, and step-daughter Melissa
Wampole of Chippewa Falls, along with three stepchildren, Tony Suda of
Neillsville, Angie (Suda) Rankl of North Branch, MN, and Teresa Tieman of
Willard. He is further survived by five grandchildren, Craig Suda, Randi Rankl,
Kasey Rankl, Brianna Jarver and Elsie Jarver and Three great-grandchildren, Tera
Jarver, Allen Suda and Graci Suda, along with many nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Kronberger, and nephew Kurtis
Tresemer.
A celebration of Mark’s live will be planned for a later date.
