College Notes (Honors – Fall Semester 2019)

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point conferred degrees on more than 500 graduated during the university’s winter commencement ceremonies on Dec. 14, 2019. The graduate list includes several local students, who are listed by hometown, name, degree, major and honors (if applicable). Honors include “summa cum laude,” with greatest honor; “magna cum laude,” with great honor; and “cum laude,” with honor.

Dorchester: Reggie Kellnhofer, bachelor of arts, English; Klayton Kree, bachelor of science, soil and waste resources/soil and land management; Andrew Miller, bachelor of science, business administration, accounting, Magna Cum Laude; Jacob Miller, bachelor of science, computer information systems-networking/information assurance, web and digital media development, magna cum laude.

Loyal: Amanda Zettler, bachelor of science, health science-pre-athletic training, cum laude,

Neillsville: Jessica Enstad, bachelor of science, family and consumer science-child/life/family, magna cum laude,

Owen: Stephanie DeCaire, bachelor of science elementary education, cum laude; Kasey Kopp, bachelor of science, natural science-life science, cum laude.

Jennifer Wendler, an exercise science major from Withee, has been named to Youngstown State University’s president’s list for achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall semester 2019.

To be eligible for the president’s list, honorees must be full-time undergraduate students with a 4.0 GPA for at least 12 semester hours of classes. Wendler also received dean’s list recognition for achieving greater than a 3.4 GPA in the fall semester.

Youngstown State University is in Youngstown, Ohio.

The University of Dubuque, Iowa congratulated Adam Hayes, Neillsville, for being appointed to the fall semester 2019 academic dean’s list.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for that semester.

Jamie Reit, an undergraduate nursing student from Willard, named to the dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for the fall 2019 semester.

Morgan A. Bilz of Dorchester has been named to the 2019 fall semester dean’s list at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 GPA. Bilz is a sophomore studying in the College of Liberal Arts.
