Bozman, William Albert (16 March 1914 – 11 January 1976)
Word has been received locally concerning the death January 11 of William Albert
(Bill) Bozman, 61, of Mattoon, Il. He was the husband of the former Mildred Alma
Wetzel and a son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Wetzel of Neillsville.
Mr. Bozman was born March 16, 1914, in Chicago, to Rank and Rose Mack Bozman. He
was a supervisor at Associated Spring for 36 years, was a member of St. John’s
Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Laymen’s League, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Loyal
Order of the Moose, the Elks Lodge, and was active in Boy Scouts of America for
many years, being a former scoutmaster. He was a veteran of World War II. His
marriage took place June 28, 1947, in Chicago.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Gerald, with the U.S.
Navy, and James of Mattoon, three sisters, Mrs. Harold (Rose) Hanson, Mrs.
Nicholas (Marge) Zimmerman and Mrs. Raymond (Betty) Fiegel, all of Chicago; and
two brothers Edward of Chicago and Joseph of Phoenix, Az.
Funeral services were held from St. John’s Lutheran Church, with burial in Dodge
Grove Cemetery.
