Wolf, Mildred Irene (4 March 1913-26 March 1998)
LOYAL- Mildred I. Wolf, 85, Loyal, died Marsh 26, 1998, at the Colonial House
Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Colby.
Funeral service will be held Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal.
The Rev. Roman Kaiser will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Mrs. Wolf's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be at Rinka
Funeral Home in Loyal.
Mildred Irene Foat was born March 4, 1913, in Antigo, to Emery and Mary (nee
Vroman) Foat. On January 16, 1932, she was united in marriage to Frank Wolf at
St. Joseph's Church in Waukesha. After their marriage, the couple farmed at
Mather and in the town of Fremont and Sherman until moving to Loyal in 1944. She
lived in Loyal until entering the nursing home in 1992. She resided there until
the time of her death.
Mildred was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and its PCCW. She enjoyed
playing cards, fishing, cooking, traveling and craftwork.
Survivors include six sons; Norman (Monica) Wolf of Loyal, Arnold (Delores) Wolf
of Chili, Larry Wolf of Ladysmith, Dennis (Gloria) Wolf of Marshfield, Patrick
(Doris) Wolf of Stratford and Randy (Rosemarie) Wolf of Unity; 10 daughters,
Virginia (Marlin) Schmitz of Granton, June (Kenneth) Marvin of Greenwood, Irene
Gardner of Spencer, Janet (Stanley) Metcalfe of Loyal, Delores (David) Kautzer
of Loyal, Mary (Roy) Rasmussen of Greenwood, Laurette (Dennis) Bauer of
Greenwood, Rachelle (Randy) Haslow of Eau Claire, Clarice (Richard) Clark of
Greenwood, Renee (Rodney) Schoen of Neillsville, 99 grandchildren, 97
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband on November 8, 1978; by her parents;
two brothers, Sharol and Roland Foat; three sisters, Wilma Kowalski, Margaret
Phelps and Arlene Singsime; by two grandchildren.
