Foelske, Lena (20 April 1894-2 September 1979)

SPENCER-- Mrs. Albert (Lena) Foelske, 85, a town of Loyal native, died Sunday at her daughter's home at 403 E. Clark St. She had resided here the past 10 years.

Services will be Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, with burial in Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. Sam Kochel, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood, will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Ray Ertl, Oscar Bauer, Donald Schwan, Ruben Litka, Hugh Darton and Albert Stange. Mrs. Kathy Jasurda will be organist with Mrs. Erwin Dux and Mrs. Verland Dux, vocalist.

Friends may call at the Rinka Funeral Home.

The former Lena Luther was born April 20, 1894 in the town of Loyal. She attended rural schools in the Loyal area.

On October 13, 1915 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, she married Albert J. Foelske. After marriage, they farmed in the town of Beaver until 1945 when they moved to the city of Loyal. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in October 1965. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Merlyn (Alleda) Lindner of Spencer and Mrs. Lester (Velda) Wittig of Juneau; a brother, John Luther of Wausau; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Her husband died August 2, 1969. Three sisters and five brothers also are deceased.
