FN Jack Conklin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Conklin Sr. of Thorp (Clark Co.),
Wisconsin, recently completed Naval Basic Training at TC. San Diego, California.
He arrived in San Diego on June 8, 1972.
The company which he was in received all five military awards, two academic
awards and the Brigade Award for being the overall award winner. The company was
the honored at Basic Training graduation at San Diego on August 11, 1972.
