Kurz, Lydia (10 July 1909-11 January 1993)
Services for Lydia Kurz, 83, formerly of the town of Sherman, who died Monday at
the Colonial House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Colby, will be Friday at
Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal.
The Rev. Joseph R. Kraly will officiate. Burial will be in Loyal Lutheran
Cemetery. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be at
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal.
She was born July 10, 1909, in Clyman, to the late Julius and Margaret (Burr)
Hinklemann. She attended Trinity Lutheran School. She was married to John Kurz
December 23, 1931, at Trinity Lutheran Church and he died December 23, 1988.
She and her husband farmed in the town of Sherman until retiring in 1969. They
continued to live on the farm until 1988. She had been a resident of the Nursing
Center since 1988.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one son, Henry of Bay City, five grandchildren and 28
great-grandchildren,
She was also predeceased by two brothers, Ernest and Herman Hinklemann, two
sisters, Molly Schoengrund and Clara Kurz and two grandchildren.
