Nowak, Mike (29 SEP 1899 – 29 SEP 1972)
Mike Nowak, 73, died of a coronary heart attack on September 29, 1972, at his
home in Lublin (Taylor Co., Wis.). Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s
National Catholic Church, Monday, October 2, 1972, with Reverend Roman Misiewicz
officiating at the ten a.m. service. Interment was made at the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons: Jeffrey Nowak, Gregory Romanofsky, William
Romanofsky, Russell Romanofsky, and nephews Michael Borek, and Ronald Borek.
Mr. Nowak, a retired farmer and Green Thumb Foreman, was born September 29, 1899
at Headfield, Massachusetts. He moved to Indiana, then to Lublin, resided in St.
Paul, Milwaukee and back to Lublin. On February 28, 1922 he was united in
marriage to Mary Kostick at St. Paul, Minnesota.
Surviving are his wife, Mary’ two sons, Leonard Nowak of Rice Lake, Rodney Nowak
of Medford; one daughter, Irene Romanofsky of Country Club Hill, Illinois; one
brother, Walter Nowak of Withee, and three sisters, Mary Kostick, Conrath, Kate
Kostick, Hannibal, and Bernice Szymczak of Milwaukee.
