Oestreich, Ralph O. (6 July 1910-20 July 1987)
LOYAL-- Services will be Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Loyal, for
Ralph Oestreich, 77, Route 1, Loyal, town of Sherman, who died Monday morning at
his home. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Loyal. Nephews will be
pallbearers. Visitation will be at the Rinka Funeral home, Loyal.
He was born July 6, 1920, in the town of Unity, to Chris and Mathilda Oestreich,
and attended schools there.
He married Ruth Hallowell August 11, 1938, in Loyal. She survives. They farmed
in the town of Loyal for 28 years and he also was a school bus driver for the
Loyal School District for many years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Marion (Alice) Scicor of
Lublin, and Mrs. Fred (Joyce) Bittner of Marshfield; four sons, James of
Burlington, William of Loyal, Michael of Eau Claire, and David of Neillsville; a
sister, Mrs. Josephine Ploman of Loyal; three brothers, Glen of Waukegan, Chris
of Loyal, and John of Wisconsin Rapids; 14 grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by five brothers, Albert, Bernard, Everett, Oscar and Milton.
