Redig, Wilhelmina "Minnie" (31 May 1888-4 April 1971)
Mrs. William W. (Minnie) Redig, 82, of 717 E. Blodgett St., died Sunday at the
Marshfield Convalescent Center. She had been a patient there since April 1, and
had been in failing health the past six months.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Rembs Chapel, with Pastor Elmer
Rasmussen, of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, officiating.
The former Minnie Cartwright was born May 31, 1888, in Chicago and came to Clark
County area as a young girl. She was married in 1905 to Henry Meuller, who
preceded her in death. Her second marriage to William W. Redig took place in
Loyal, October 7, 1909. Mr. Redig died April 8, 1956. Mrs. Redig lived in the
Loyal and Spokeville areas until 1929, when she came to Marshfield.
Survivors include four sons, Raymond Meuller, and Elmer Redig, both of Spencer;
Walter Redig, Marshfield, and Willie Redig, Fairbanks, Alaska; a daughter, Mrs.
Harry (Myrtle) Lanoue, Marshfield; a stepson, Edward Redig, Rhinelander; two
stepdaughters, Mrs. Julia Runge, Eagle Bend, Minnesota; and Mrs. Daisy Lewis,
Medical Lake, Washington; 29 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; a brother
Emil Cartwright, Spencer, and a sister, Mrs. Frances Sterling, Rghinelander.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, two brothers, and two sisters.
