Walker, Laura Marie (Marriage – 20 March 1976)
Miss Laura Marie Walker became the bride of Larry L. Meddaugh in a 2:30 p.m.
ceremony performed Saturday, March 20, at the Neillsville United Methodist
Church by the Rev. William Noble. Bali Hai Supper Club was the setting later for
a reception and dance honoring the couple.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Angela Walker of Neillsville and Harold K.
Walker of Indiana. She was presented in marriage by her uncle, Anton Vobora. Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Meddaugh, Rt. 2 Granton, are the groom’s parents.
A bouquet of pink roses and white baby’s breath complimented the bride’s chapel
length gown of Chantilly lace styled with a ruffle-tiered skirt. Her matching
fingertip veil was fashioned of Chantilly lace and sheer illusion.
Floral print gowns of sheer over taffeta with matching hats were donned by
Bonnie Fox, of Neillsville, honor attendant, and by Miss Lois Kuhn and Miss
Diane Runge of Marshfield and Miss Amy Walker of Neillsville, bridesmaids. They
carried arrangements of carnations and baby’s breath.
The groom was attended by Loren Meddaugh as bestman and Albert Parrish, Tom
Jensen and Steve Walters as groomsmen. All are from Granton. Bob Garbisch and
Bill Dahl shared ushering duties.
John Hilgart served as ring bearer and Karen Ruzic, as flowergirl. Her flowers
were pink roses and baby’s breath.
Mrs. William Noble was the soloist and Mrs. James Musil, the organist.
The new Mrs. Meddaugh is a 1975 graduate of Neillsville High School and is
employed by the Neillsville Public Schools. Her husband graduated from Granton
High School in 1974. He is engaged in farming.
A wedding trip is planned for a later date.
