Bogdan, Joseph (19 MAR 1881 – 13 NOV 1972)
Joseph Bogdan, 91, resident of Stanley (Chippewa Co., Wis.), died at Victory
Memorial Hospital on November 13, 1972. Funeral services were held at Holy
Family Catholic Church, Stanley, on November 16 at eleven a.m., with Rev. Joseph
Marx officiating. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Mr. Bogdan was born March 19, 1981 in Poland. He was united in marriage to
Michalina Kaczarowski in Poland. They came to the United States in 1900, coming
to the Lublin (Taylor Co.) area and farmed for many years. Then he moved to the
Town of Worden (Clark Co.) and farmed until 1940, when he moved to Stanley.
Surviving are five sons, Walter, Stanley, Tony, and Frank, all of Chicago, John
of Iron River, Michigan; three daughters, (Genevieve) Mrs. Ed Lozinski,
Milwaukee, (Sophie) Mrs. Rose (?) of Ladysmith, (Helen) Mrs. Lozinski,
Milwaukee; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 2
great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and one son.
