Jean Smith was selected as the Thorp H.S. D.A.R Award Winner for 1972. She is
the daughter of Mrs. Therese Smith.
A Good Citizen is selected base on the qualifications of leadership,
dependability, service, and patriotism to an outstanding degree. She must also
be a citizen of the United States.
The final decision was made by the high school faculty on December 6, 1972. They
elected Jean Smith to represent Thorp High School in the D.A.R. Good Citizen
Contest.
Jean will now fill out the Good Citizen questionnaire and this will be returned
to Mrs. Paul Natvig, State Chairman of the D.A.R. Good Citizen committee. This
questionnaire make Jean eligible for State and National Competition.
