Swenson, Mark (Paper Science Scholarship - 1976)
Mark Swenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Swenson, R. 2 Neillsville, has been
awarded a $100 scholarship to continue studies in paper science at the
University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Swenson’s sharing in a fund of approximately $10,000, which is being given to
Stevens Point paper science students this year from a special foundation
supporting their efforts. The foundation gets its money from the paper and
allied industries. Besides scholarships, it also supports research activities on
campus, purchase of special laboratory equipment and learning experiences beyond
what the state spends on campus.
Swenson is a freshman.
