Max was born June 26, 1905 in Ulm, Germany to the late Mr. and Mrs. Max (Barbara) Lohrman and received his education in schools there. He came to the United States at the age of 21 and worked on various farms in Central Wisconsin until his marriage.

He married Anna Martha Bothe on June 9, 1934 in Fenwood, where they farmed until 1947. They then moved to Auburndale and farmed until 1963 and then moved to Route 1, Marshfield. His wife died April 27, 1966 and in 1967 he moved to Marshfield. He was also employed by Weyehauser Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1976.

On Aug 19, 1967, in Marshfield, he married Ann Sladich.

He was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
