Fenske, Esther (11 AUG 1920 – JUN 1971)
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 15, 2972 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s
Lutheran Church at Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) for Mrs. Clarence Fenske, 50,
Route 1, Dorchester.
The Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiated, and burial was in Hillside Cemetery at
Marshfield. Maurina Funeral Home was in charge.
Pallbearers were Arthur Hermanson, Jerome Reynolds, Tom Harrelson, Kenneth
Hermanson, Frank Tischendorf, and Steven Heinz.
Mrs. Fenske, the former Esther Popp, was born August 11, 1920, in Marshfield. On
September 5, 1942 she was married to Clarence Fenske at Marshfield. They have
lived in Dorchester the past 17 years. She has worked at the Skylite Club near
Athens for the past eight years.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Edwin, at home, Duane of Phoenix,
Arizona, and Gerald of Sacramento, California, and one daughter, Sharon, at
home. Her mother, Mrs. Mathilda Popp, Marshfield, also survives, along with four
brothers, Edwin Popp, Merrill, William Popp, Wisconsin Rapids, and Ernest and
Arthur Popp of Marshfield; one sister, Mrs. Helmer (Clara) Hermanson, Milwaukee,
and one grandchild.
