Baehr, Arthur (27 AUG 1901 – 13 JUN 1971)
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in
Dorchester for Arthur H. Baehr, 69, town of Mayville (Clark Co., Wis.).
The Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiated and burial was in Dorchester Memorial
Cemetery. The Maurina Funeral Home completed arrangements.
Mr. Baehr died at his home at 11:20 p.m. Sunday night. He was born August 27,
1901, in the town of Mayville. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Baehr.
On May 31, 1941 he was married to Mary Peters at Dorchester. They have farmed
din the town of Mayville since that time. He received his education in the
Pleasant Hill School, and later served as clerk of that school for 17 years. He
also served as secretary of St. Peter’s Church for six years.
He is survived by his widow, one son, Dennis, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Larry
(Ruby) Hafeman, West Allis, and Sue Baehr, at home. One brother, William Baehr,
Manhattan, Kansas, and three sisters, Mrs. George (Frieda) Phelps, Marinette,
Miss Clara Baehr and Miss Leona Baehr, both of Milwaukee, also survive.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
