Hallowell, Charles S. (25 January 1886-2 July 1954)

Funeral services for Charles S. Hallowell, 68, route 3, who died of a heart attack at his home Friday morning, will be Monday at the Hansen Funeral Home. The Rev. M. C. Gilbert, pastor of the Veefkind Community Church, and the Rev. Robert Olson, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, will officiate. Burial will take place in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the town of Loyal.

Mr. Hallowell was born January 25, 1886, in Rubicon, where he received his education. He came to Clark County 40 years ago and moved to Marshfield in 1942. On March 5, 1917, he was married to Olga Johnson in the town of Unity.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Sgt. Norman Hallowell, Petersburg, Virginia, and Howard Hallowell, Marshfield; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Oestreich, route 1, Unity; Mrs. John (Helen) Paschke, Greenwood; and Mrs. Leon (Viola) Kline, Marshfield; a brother, Arthur Hallowell, Baraboo; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Mabel) Wilke, Neenah, and Mrs. Hobert (Irene) Wantland, Milwaukee; and 17 grandchildren.

A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
