Sternitzky, Mr./Mrs. Ray (Golden – 4 April 1976)
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sternitzky, Rt. 1 Granton, observed their Golden wedding
anniversary Sunday, April 4. Their family and grandchildren were all present and
attended the morning worship service at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton, in a
group. A basket of golden flowers decorated the altar in honor of the occasion,
and the Rev. Everett Schleef offered a special prayer for them.
Open house for relatives and friends was held at the church from 2-6 p.m. The
afternoon was enjoyed by all in meeting friends and visiting. A luncheon was
served by members of the Zion Ladies Aid society.
Congratulations and best wishes were extended to the couple in honor of their
many years together. Friends came from Milwaukee, Kansas City, Eau Claire,
Merrill, Minneapolis and Plymouth.
The Sternitzky’s were married on an Easter Sunday, April 4, 1926, at Zion
Lutheran Church by Rev. Martins. They farmed in the Town of Lynn and are now
retired.
Their children are Mrs. Raymond (June) Kaddatz of Wisconsin Rapids, Vernon at
home, and Wayne of Kansas City. They have eight grandchildren.
