Miss Linda Mae Sternitzky, Rt. 1, Spencer, and Joseph Paul Kilty, Rt. 1, Unity,
repeated their wedding vows before Father Francis Rushman at 6:30 p.m. Saturday,
June 19, 1971, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schade, Rt. 2, Colby, and Mrs.
Irma Kilty, Rt. 1, Unity.
Given in marriage by her grandfather, Elmer Gripentrog, Linda wore a white
Spanish styled gown of Rosepoint lace with fan-shaped sleeves and a matching
mantilla. Her hand bouquet consisted of red roses and white carnations.
The maid of honor was Miss Nancy Sternitzky of Spencer, and the bridesmaids,
Miss Audrey Sossaman, Unity, Miss Joan Forst, Marshfield, and Mrs. John Kilty,
Spencer, wore pink gowns of flocked voile and with bateau neckline, puffed
sleeves and avocado ribbon daisy trim. They wore Camelot headpieces of floral
petals and carried white daisy bouquets.
Roger Reise of Unity served as best man. Jim Hopfensperger, Spencer, Jeff Kilty,
Unity, and John Kilty, Spencer, were groomsmen. Performing the ushering duties
were Gary Sternitzky and Alan Weix.
A reception and dance were held at Unity Memorial Hall following the ceremony.
The bride graduated from Spencer High School in 1970. She is employed at Land
O’Lakes in Spencer. The groom is a 1969 Colby High School graduate and is
employed by Wicks, Trailblazer Division, in Spencer.
The couple will be making their home at Route 1, Unity.
