Dahnert, Henry H. (3 May 1898 – 26 April 1976)
Henry H. Dahnert, 77, of Neillsville, succumbed to an apparent heart attack
Monday, April 26, in the Town of Mentor. Mr. Dahnert was stricken at the site of
his new home, which he was helping to construct.
Funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) morning at 11 o’clock from the
Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home with Ruby Yndogliato as Reader. Burial will be in
the Neillsville City Cemetery. The body of Mr. Dahnert was to be in state at the
funeral home from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday and this (Thursday) morning until time of
services.
The son of Carl and Alvina Simdon Dahnert, he was born May 3, 1898, in Dane
County and came to Clark County as a young boy. He was educated in local schools
and worked at various jobs and on several farms until 1932 when he bought a farm
in the Town of Pine Valley. Mr. Dahnert farmed until 1957 when he moved to
Neillsville. He worked for the city until last year.
While farming, he served on the Town Board and on the Hiawatha School board and
held several other jobs for the township.
His marriage to the former Gertrude Randall took place October 1, 1919, in Fond
du Lac.
Survivors in addition to his wife, include two children, Duane Dahnert of
Richfield, Mn., and Mrs. Lyle (Nelva) Prindle of Humbird: two sisters, Mrs.
Arnold (Dorothy) Wilke of El Monte, Ca., and mrs. Jack (Ethel) Pedder of Los
Angeles, Ca.; three brothers Charles Dahnert of Madison, Herman Dahnert of
Neillsville and Ben Dahnert of Rialto, Ca.; and seven grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home
for Henry H. Dahnert, 77, of Neillsville, who succumbed to an apparent heart
attack Monday, April 26, at the site of his new home under construction in the
Town of Mentor. Mrs. Ruby Yndogliato was the reader. Interment followed in the
Neillsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Roger Dahnert, Keith Dahnert, Ralph Prindle, Jeff Scholze,
Robert Snow and Allen Voight.
