Petersen, Willard P. (25 August 1898 – 24 April 1976)

Willard P. Petersen, 77, of Rt. 2 Neillsville, was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital Saturday, April 24. Services were held Wednesday morning from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Nordin of Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. Graveside services were scheduled for 3 p.m. that afternoon at the Roselawn Cemetery, Madison.

Willard Petersen, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Petersen, was born August 25, 1898, in Dane County and attended schools there. After completing his formal education, he worked in Madison as a mason. He also worked for Hueber Farms in the Madison area, and owned and operated the former Stables Nightclub west of Neillsville for several years. His wife Mildred preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, Willard P. Petersen, Jr., of Oregon, Wi.; two sisters, Mrs. Emily Clark of Marinette and Mrs. Viola Uphoff of Madison; and one brother, Harlan Petersen, address unknown.
