St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Green Grove was the scene of the 1:30 p.m.
ceremony Saturday, June 19, 1971, which united Miss Judith Rae Lube, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lube, Route 2, Colby, and David Lee Mueller, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Edward Mueller, 409 West Spencer Street, Colby.
The Rev. Arthur Raasch performed the ceremony before the altar bedecked with
bouquets of pastel gladiolas and large daisies.
Given in marriage by her father, Judith wore an entrained floor length bridal
gown of silk organza with Venetian lace and short puffed sleeves. Her shoulder
length veil of silk illusion was attached to Juliet headpiece of Venetian lace
and pearls. She carried a bouquet of a single giant white orchid surrounded by
cascading white carnations and entwining ivy.
The bride’s ister, Mrs. Joyce Hamann of Curtiss, was the matron of honor. Mrs.
Maxine Hooper, Eau Claire, and Carla Martindale, Ladysmith, served as
bridesmaids. The attendants were attired in floor length gowns of white organza
with blue stripes and rows of blue flowers, the high neckline, and empire waist
and lady bishop sleeves trimmed in deep blue velvet ribbon. Their puffed veils
were attached to floral headpieces. They carried white wicker baskets of blue
daisies and white carnations.
The groom’s attendants were his brother-in-law, Richard Hamann, Curtiss, as best
man; Father Ronald Straub and Robert Gerke, friend of the groom from Eau Claire,
were groomsmen.
The ushers were the bride and groom’s brothers, Randy Lube and Russ Mueller,
both of Colby.
Following the ceremony a reception at the Abbotsford City Hall, dinner in the
church parlors and a dance that evening were attended by approximately 200
guests.
The new Mrs. Mueller graduated from Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire, in
1970 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Speech. She as been employed as
English-Speech teacher in the Glenwood City High School.
Her husband also graduated from Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire in 1970
with a Bachelor of Music Education. He is employed as a band instructor at Regis
High School in Eau Claire.
Mr. and Mrs. Mueller are making their first home at 625 Selma Street, Eau
Claire.
