Miss Bergetta Costa was the guest of honor at a surprise bridal shower last Thursday evening in the Abbotsford City Hall. 43 Brownie, junior and girl scots attended the party for the former Abbotsford schools art teacher.

Corsages made by Amy Lindberg and Mary Carpenter were presented to Miss Costa, along with many lovely gifts. Katie Nikolay and Marcy Strathman assisted in opening the gifts. The hall was decorated by Jeri Wojner, Pam Luttimen and Winnie Park. Umbrella shaped cakes were made and decorated by the cooking patrol, Susan Bergh, Valerie Conrad and Marcy Nelson. Shelly Bauer and Vicky Stettler were in charge of the games.

Miss Costa will become the bride of Ross Mason on August 22, 1071 in Itasca State Park, near Bemidji, Minnesota.
