Behling, William H. (12 June 1894-6 January 1981)
CHILI -- William H. Behling, 84, Route 1, town of Lynn, died Tuesday at Memorial
Home, Neillsville. He had been there two years.
The funeral will be Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, Nasonville, with burial in
the parish cemetery. Miss Kerry Maslowski and Mrs. Earl Meissner will provide
music. The Rev. Stephen Ellerbusch.
Friends may call at Hansen Funeral Home.
Mr. Behling was born June 12 1894 in the town of Lynn to William and Tina
Behling. He attended schools in the town of Lynn and farmed there until retiring
in 1960. He was affiliated with Grace Lutheran Church, was on its Building and
Cemetery committees, and was a member of the Maple Grove School Board, town of
Lynn.
On May 15, 1918 in Neillsville, he and Linda Selk were married. She died August
16, 1970.
He is survived by three sons, James of Scottsdale, Arizona, Willard of Route 2,
Marshfield, and Lawrence of Route 1, Chili; eight grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren, four sisters and one granddaughter are deceased.
Clarence Sternitzky, Herbert Puscheck, Harold Montag, Vernon Gilbertson,
Lawrence Dix and Walter Ott are to serve as pallbearers.
