Anding, Charles F. (27 October 1890-7 January 1981)
NEILLSVILLE-- Charles F. Anding, 90, died Wednesday at Memorial Home, where he
had resided the past six years.
The funeral will be Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, the Rev. Norman
Lindoff officiating. Burial will be in town of Lynn Cemetery. Friends may call
at Gesche Funeral Home.
Mr. Anding was born October 27, 1890 in the town of Lynn to Oscar and Frederica
(Sturtze) Anding, and received his education there. He worked as a logger in
northern Wisconsin for several years and was married November 3, 1915 to Lydia
Yankee here.
The couple farmed in the town of Lynn until 1951, then moved to Neillsville. He
worked as a carpenter here and was employed by Arthur Carl and John Moen in
construction work. He was affiliated with St. John's Lutheran Church.
He and his wife observed their 55th wedding anniversary in 1970. She died June
24, 1976.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Erma Terman of Eau Claire; two sons, Arnold
of Neillsville and Duane of Granton; one brother, E. R. Anding of Pontiac,
Michigan; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Three brothers and
three sisters are deceased.
