Carl, Marilee Ann (Marriage – 24 April 1976)
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kubaskie, who were married April 24 at Trinity Lutheran
Church, Greenwood, are making their home on Rt. 1 Humbird. The Rev. Douglas
Groenewold officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception
at the Greenwood American Legion Hall. The former Miss Marilee Ann Carl, the
bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carl of Greenwood. She was
presented in marriage by her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kubaskie, Humbird, are the
groom’s parents.
For her wedding day, the bride chose a lace trimmed, taffeta-lined gown of white
dotted Swiss styled with a square neckline, empire waist and long, puff sleeves.
Her triple-tiered veil was held by a headband trimmed with matching lace. She
carried a bouquet of white roses accented by four single blue, green, yellow and
pink roses.
The same colors were used in the dotted Swiss gowns worn by the bridal
attendants, Lynne Carl, maid of honor, and Karlene Horn, Toni Carl and Tami
Kubaskie, bridesmaids. Each carried a single, long-stemmed rose in a shade
matching her dress.
The groom was attended by Dale Kubaskie as bestman and by Don Horn, Francis Carl
and Jeff Dayton as groomsmen. David Fox and Rick Carl shared ushering duties.
“For All We Know,” “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Follow Me” were sung by Cindy
Stewart. Michel Mech was the guitar accompanist.
The new Mrs. Kubaskie, a graduate of Greenwood High School, is employed at
Memorial Home. Her husband graduated from Lincoln High School, Alma Center, and
is a railroad company employee.
