Bennett, Wayne (1 APR 1951 – 25 JUL 1971)

A Unity man drowned Sunday afternoon in Lake Camelot near Wisconsin Rapids.

Wayne Bennett, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mertens Bennett, Route 1, Unity, was the victim of a swimming mishap.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in First United Church of Christ, Colby, with the Rev. Kenneth Dix conducting last rites.

Arrangements were completed by Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby.

Bennett was born April 1, 1951 in Marshfield and attended school in Colby public schools.

Surviving are his parents; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Hendrix, Fond du Lac; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Marge Bennett, Unity, and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ida Fibke, Edgar.
