Scott, Beatrice (5 November 1892-31 January 1981)

NEILLSVILLE-- Mrs. Beaatrice Scott, 88, a Neillsville native, died Saturday night at River Pines Community Health Center, Stevens Point.

She was born here November 5, 1892 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burgess. She moved with her family at age 5 to Tony, where she grew up and attended schools.

She married Fred W. Scott in 1914 in Ladysmith. The couple farmed near Tony during their married life. He died in 1967.

She then lived in Ladysmith for several years until moving to Stevens Point in 1976 to live with a daughter. She entered River Pines Community Health Center in 1978.

She was a member of the Methodist Church in Tony and the American Association of Retired Persons.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Helen) Zech, Stevens Point, and Mrs. Warren (Laurel) Howell, Arroyo Grande, California; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

One brother predeceased her.

Private services were this morning at Boston Funeral Home, Stevens Point, Burial was in Neillsville City Cemetery.
