Sischo, Monica A. (Marriage – 1 May 1976)
A hone on R. 3 Neillsville, awaited Mr. and Mrs. John A. Pagenkopf who exchanged
marriage vows on Saturday, May 1, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville.
The Rev. Joseph Henseler officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony for the former
Monica A. Sischo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Sischo, St., Rt. 2
Neillsville, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Pagenkopf, Rt. 3 Neillsville.
Presented in marriage by her parents, the bride appeared in an empire-waist gown
of acetate and nylon fashioned with long sleeves and a chapel length train. She
carried a lace-ruffle-edged Colonial arrangement of blue and white organdy roses
with baby’s breath and a white satin streamer.
Bridal attendants, each carrying a long-stemmed white organdy rose with baby’s
breath and a white satin streamer, were honor attendant, Linda Sischo of
Stewartville, Mn., and bridesmaids Sandy Sischo and Lisa Warren. Their gowns of
blue double-knit with white lace trim were accented by white hats trimmed with
matching blue bands and bows.
Serving as bestman was John Hake. Groomsmen were Bill Warren and Thomas
Pagenkopf. Guests were seated by Raymond Pagenkopf of Neillsville and Sgt.
Richard E. Sischo, Jr., of Colorado Springs, Co.
Hollie Wallace was the ringbearer and Heather Pagenkopf, the flower girl. Both
were escorted by Shawn Warren. Heather carried a wicker basket with a bouquet
identical to the brides. Hollie’s ring pillow was trimmed with a blue organdy
rose and baby’s breath. Their flowers, like those of the bride and her
attendants, were hand fashioned by the groom’s sister, Mrs. Monte Gress.
Special music was by Ann Short and Sue Schmidt, vocalists, and Mrs. Glenn Short,
as organist.
A reception was held at the Wildcat Inn.
The new Mrs. Pagenkopf attended Neillsville schools and graduated from
Neillsville High School in 1974. Her husband attended St. Mary’s Elementary
School and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1966. He is engaged in
farming.
