Dennis Harold Bolf was born on May 7, 1948 at Victory Memorial Hospital in
Stanley, to Michael and Meta L. (Franz) Bolf. He was raised on the family farm,
attended area schools, and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1966. After
completing his education, Denny worked at a lumberyard in Dorchester, and later
at Stewart's Redville Dairy in Greenwood.
He was inducted into the U.S. Army on October 8, 1968 and was stationed in

the lottery crosswords. But most of all, he loved spending time with his
daughter and two grandchildren.
Denny is survived by his daughter: Heather (Chris) Gates of Thorp; and two
grandchildren: Daniel and Rachel Boehlke of Thorp; one brother: Roger Bolf of
