Caliebe, Lt. (j.g.), Robert G. (Service Notes- 1976)
Lt. (j.g.), Robert Caliebe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl G. Caliebe of Greenwood,
has participated in operation “Solid Shield ‘76” aboard the frigate USS Edward
McDonnell, homeported in Mayport, Fla.
The two-week joint exercise off the North Carolina and Georgia coasts involved
36 ships and more than 50,000 men and women from all branches of the Armed
Forces.
A 1972 graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a bachelor of science
degree, he joined the Navy in October 1972.
