Ormond, William T. (10 March 1916-21 March 1981)
NEILLSVILLE-- William T. Ormond, 65, Route 2, Granton, died Saturday at Veterans
Administration Hospital in Tomah.
Services will be Wednesday at Gesche Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary L. Clark of
United Church of Christ is to officiate. Burial will be in Neillsville Cemetery.
Mr. Ormond was born March 10, 1916 in the town of Weston to William M. and
Mathilda (Offerman) Ormond and was educated here. He was married November 4,
1939 at Milwaukee to Mildred Selves.
The couple lived in La Crosse and St. Paul, Minnesota, where he worked as a tool
and die maker. They later moved to Milwaukee and after retiring in 1975 they
moved to the Granton area.
He was a member of Haugen-Richmond Post 73, American Legion, and Wilson-Heintz
Post 2241 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife; three children, William H. Ormond of Salt Lake City,
Utah, SFC Terrance W. Ormond of Huntsville, Alabama, Kim P Ormond of
Minneapolis; four sisters, Mrs. Jessie Zilisch of Menominee, Mrs. Ester Welch of
Waunakee, Mrs. Eva Vale of Cottage Grove and Mrs. Mary Elmers of Sunny Vale,
California; two brothers, Charles Ormond of Kennedy, New York and Jack Ormond of
Greenwood; and four grandchildren.
Three brothers and several sisters are deceased.
