VandeBerg, Second Lt. Craig S. (Service Notes - 1976)
Second Lt. Craig S. VandeBerg, U.S.M.C.R., recently completed 26 weeks of basic
training at the Marine Corps development and education command, Quantico, Va. He
is currently home on two weeks’ leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell
VandeBerg, Rt. 2 Neillsville.
Lt VandeBerg graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in August
1975 and entered the Marine Corps 12-week Officer Candidate school. He received
his commission in November and was engaged in basic training until his
graduation June 4.
He has been assigned to the Basic School’s Supply Center, Quantico, Va. In late
August, Lt. VandeBerg will attend the Navy’s 18-week Aviation Supply School in
Athens, Ga. Upon completion, he will be assigned to the 1st Marine Aircraft
Wing, in either Japan or on Okinawa.
