Olson, Mr./Mrs. Leonard (Silver – 3 June 1976)
Approximately 275 relatives and friends attended the 25th wedding anniversary of
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Olson at their home Saturday afternoon and evening.
Leonard Olson and the former Mary Tegner were married June 3, 1951, at Clark,
S.D., and they own and operate a farm northeast of Greenwood. They are the
parents of three sons, Mike of Greenwood and Terry and Gary, at home.
Present for the occasion were all of the attendants, but one, at the wedding 25
years ago.
Those from a distance were, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Abene of Chicago, Il.; Mr. and
Mrs. Merle Ludwig and Mr. and Mrs. Stienhofen of Volin, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Byrl
Logan and Mrs. Alma Tigner of Clark, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Olson and family
of Gallup, N.M.; also relatives and friends from Loyal, Spencer, Willard,
Marshfield, Abbotsford, Owen, Neillsville, Downsville, Elk Mound, Dorchester and
Green Bay.

Olson, Mr./Mrs. Leonard (Silver – 3 June 1976)
Leonard and Mary Olson celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary recently
Saturday, June 5, at their farm home.
They were married at Clark, S.D., June 3, 1951. Their attendants were Mrs. Byrl
Logan, Clark, S.D., sister of Mrs. Olson; Del Olson, brother of Leonard; Dick
Olson, La Crosse, cousin of Leonard; Arlys Foiles, Minneapolis, friend of Mary
who was not in attendance.
The Olsons live on a farm north of Greenwood which they purchased 25 years ago.
They are the parents of four boys: Steve, who was killed in a car accident in
1973; Mike who lives in Greenwood and works in Spencer; Terry, and Gary at home.
Those attending from out-of-state were Mr. and Mrs. Tony Abene, Chicago; Mr. and
Mrs. Roger Olson and family of Gallop, N.M.; Mr. and Mrs. Byrl Logan, Mrs. Alma
Tigner of Clark, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Merle Ludwig, and Mr. and Mrs. Butch
Steenhoven and family of Volin, S.D.; Miss Roberta Ludwig, and Kathy Ludwig of
Sioux Falls, S.D. Many relatives, friends and neighbors from Loyal, Owen,
Greenwood, Neillsville, Colby, Marshfield, Green Bay, Elk Mound, Willard,
Granton, Spencer, Downsville, Abbotsford, Stratford and Unity also attended.
The afternoon was spent visiting, dancing, and square dancing in the evening.
Byrl Logan (Mrs. Olson’s brother-in-law) of Clark, S.D., Fred Justman of
Stratford, and Milt Ystad of Greenwood were the callers. Mike Briski also
played.
