Gower, Joyce E. (15 NOV 1933 – 12 MAY 2020)

Joyce Elaine Gower, age 86, of Colby, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at home with caregiver Cindy Dahl at her side.

She will be cremated and buried with her husband in Appleton.

Joyce was born November 15, 1933, to Oscar and Helen (Brunner) Volkman. In June 1954, she was united in marriage to Richard Gower. He passed August 3, 1987. After marriage, they lived in Marshfield where she worked for many years at the shoe factory. She moved to Colby in 1996.

She belonged to Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Joyce loved playing cards and going to casinos.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Sally Gower (Rehman); her granddaughter, Danielle Trzcinski; her great-grandchildren: Justice Brown and Kandyce Ward; her brother, Howard Volkman of Arizona; her sister-in-law, Janice Volkman of Montana and her brother-in-law, Wayne Gower in Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gower; her parents, Oscar and Helen Volkman; her in-laws, Glenn and Angie Gower; her sister, Judy; and her brother, Roger.
