Gustman, Otto W. (22 September 1895 – 10 June 1976) With Flag
A retired building contractor, Otto W. Gustman, 80, of Rt. 1 Neillsville, died
suddenly Thursday, June 10, following a lingering illness. Services were held
Satruday from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home with the Rev. Chester Osowski of
Loyal officiating. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Otto Gustman, son of August and Augusta Keidith Gustman, was born September 22,
1895, in Sheboygan and moved with his parents to Cadott where he received his
education. He worked in Cadott for a time, then in 1924 moved to Detroit, Mi.,
and worked there as a building contractor until his retirement in 1953. After
retiring, he lived and worked in various places before moving to Neillsville in
1973.Mr. Gustman was a veteran of World War I, having served in the armed forces
from May 28, 1918 until January 18, 1919. He was a member of Haugen-Richmond
American Legion Post No. 73.
On October 13, 1955, in Neillsville, he was married to the former Harriet Neff,
who survives.
Also surviving ae six step-children: two sisters, Mrs. Otto (Mina) Grewe of Jim
Falls and Mrs. Helen Sedlacek of Chippewa Falls; two brothers, Arnold Gustman of
Neillsville and Albert Gustman of Valley Center, Ca., and 19 step-grandchildren
and three great-step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Elmer Georgas, H.H. Quicker, Paul Volkmann, John Schiesel,
Martin Feuerstein and Arnie Matheson.
Mrs. John Schiesel was the organist.
Military graveside rites were conducted by members of Haugen-Richmond Post No.
73.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Feidler and family, Jim Falls; R.D. Sage, Mt. Clemens, Mi.;
Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Malinowski, Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Warner, Richard N. Immel and Mr.
and Mrs. W.F. Immel, Milwaukee; Mrs. Roslyn Lee, Pensacola, Fl.; and Mr. and
Mrs. Brian Immel, Detroit, Mi.
