Muehler, Mr./Mrs. Gerald (Silver – Sep 1971)
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Muehler, Carpentersville, Illinois, former area residents
came back to Dorchester to observe their silver wedding anniversary. About 200
guests were present in Memorial hall at the afternoon, reception, dinner and an
evening of dancing on Saturday.
Gerald is the son of Otto Muehler, Medford, who was a long time resident of the
Town of Holton. Mrs. Muehler was the former Jeanette Diers, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Leo Diers of Athens.
The couple was married September 18, 1946 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in
Milan. He is employed at Hills-McCana in Carpentersville.
The couple has six children and four grandchildren. The parents and the
following brothers and sisters attended the celebration here Saturday: Mrs.
Bernice Muehler Silvulka, Medford; Elroy Diers and Virginia Diers Plumb,
Minneapolis, Minnesota; Sylvester Diers, Kewaunee, Norman and Vernon Diers,
Athens, Margaret Diers Schreiner, Marathon; and Lorraine Diers Weiland, Colby.
