Guth, Donna Mae (25 SEP 1971)
A former Dorchester resident, Miss Donna Mae Guth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Alvin Guth, Rice Lake, and Robert James Adair, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Mullen,
Bayside, New York, were married September 25, 1971 at the Catholic church in
Rice Lake, with Rev. Father James Dabruzzl officiating.
The bride’s attendants were Miss Karen Guth, Rice Lake, sister of the bride, as
maid of honor; Miss Barbara Adai, Bayside, New York, sister of the groom, and
Miss Cindy Ruhrkraut, Elmhurst, New York, as bridesmaids.
The bridegroom’s attendants were Gerry Kelly, Jackson Heights, New York, as best
man; Lloyd Guth, Chicago, Illinois, brother of the bride, and James Kirby,
Jackson Heights, New York, as groomsmen.
Phillip Werner, Schofield, a cousin of the bride, and Gene De Rouen, New York,
New York, were the ushers.
The bride wore a white bridal satin gown, trimmed with Alencon lace and
rhinestones at the neckline, the “A” line skirt and train. She wore an illusion
veil with a rhinestone headpiece. The bouquet carried by the bride was crescent
shaped with pink and white roses, white satin streamers with rosebuds.
The bride’s attendants were attired in aqua blue satin gowns with “A” line
skirts, long sleeves, and lace bodices. They carried bouquets of blue carnation
and white roses.
The bride’s mother wore a rose pink “A” line dress with white rope trim on the
neckline and sleeves. The groom’s mother wore a pale blue “A” line dress. Both
wore matching corsages.
Following the wedding ceremony a reception was held at the Moose Lodge in Rice
Lake.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii and Tokyo, Japan, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Adair will
make their home at 3520 215 Place, Bayside, New. York.
The bride is a 1969 graduate of Colby High School and attended Humbolt Business
School in Minneapolis. She is employed at Korvette’s in New York, New York. The
groom is employed as a travel agent for the Irish International Airlines, New
York.
Those from the Dorchester area who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Werner, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Tessmer, Bruce and Jean, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Marcott and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Stoiber. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kauer, Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence Jacobi and daughter of Colby
