Sternitzky, Nancy Lynn (25 SEP 1971)
Miss Nancy Lynn Sternitzky, Spencer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schade,
Colby, and Robert Max Martens, son of Mrs. Anita Martens, Marshfield, were
married by Rev. Pankow in Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, September 25, 1971 at 7
p.m.
The bride was given in marriage by her grandfather, Elmer Gripentrog.
The attendants for the ceremony were Mrs. Joseph Kilty, Unity, maid of honor;
Mike Martens, Marshfield, best man; Mrs. Charles Hamilton, Colby, bridesmaid;
and Joseph Kilty, Unity, as groomsman.
The bride wore an ivory floor length gown of acetate peau with feather
sculptured cotton Venice lace with a chapel train and matching veil. She carried
a cascade of red roses, white carnations, stephanotis, with ivy.
The bride’s attendants wore floor length gowns of Juliet style with blue velvet
waist coasts over light blue chiffon. They each carried a bouquet of gold and
yellow pompons with matching streamers.
Miss Debbie Pankow was the organist. Mrs. Karen Hanson was the soloist.
A dinner was served at the Colby Hotel at 8 p.m. A reception and dance were held
at the Colby City Hall.
The bride is a 1969 graduate of Spencer High School.
