Smith, Lawrence "Smitty" (1907 - 20 April 1981)
THORP -- Lawrence "Smitty" Smith, 73, died Monday at his home.
He was born in Illinois and married Sophie Wojdyla in September 1930. She died
in 1979. He worked as an electrician.
Survivors include a son, A. L. Smith of Eau Claire; three daughters, Mary Ann
Rokusek of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Lorretta Biederstedt of Lemmon, South Dakota,
and Marge Suidak of Thorp; and 12 grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, with burial in
the parish cemetery. Friends may call at Thorp Funeral Home.
