Blunck, Walter C. (1 May 1902 - 22 April 1981)

WITHEE -- Walter C. Blunk, 78, Route 1, died Wednesday, where he was admitted April 8.

The funeral will be Saturday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, the Rev. Peter Thomsen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Maurina Funeral Home.

Mr. Blunk farmed until 1959 in the town of Longwood. He was a substitute mail carrier for Withee Post Office a number of years and from 1959 to 1969 worked for Clark County Health Care Center. He was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church.

He was born May 1, 1902 in the town of Longwood. On May 14, 1927 in Withee, he and Christine Jensen were married. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gerhart (Leona) Christophersen and Mrs. Leon (Betty) Bruckert, both of Withee, and Mrs. Ervin (Lois) Timmler of Greenwood; two sons, Robert of Union Grove and Larry West Salem; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

One daughter, three brothers and two sisters are deceased.
