A farewell party was held Sunday evening in honor of Rev. and Mrs. Robert
Sutherland, as they are leaving for Negaunee, Michigan.
Mrs. Esther Carlson gave the devotions to Pastor and his family. A tribute to
the pastor was written by Mrs. Lorraine Wescott and given by Esther Carlson. A
corsage made by Mrs. Donald Korntved, was presented to Mrs. Sutherland and her
mother, Mrs. Ted Hedin of Wisconsin Rapids.
The Sunday School and choir sang.
Robert Winkler presented the pastor a personalized gift of a miniature dart ball
and a miniature dart ball board and three darts autographed by the team.
The Luther League put on a skit representing the members of the Sutherland
family.
Mrs. Corwin Dallman presented a gift to Mrs. Sutherland from the LCW. Ansel
Messer presented the pastor with a gift from the congregation.
The program was concluded with the choir singing and everyone else joining in
the sing of “Blessed be the Tide that Binds.” The table prayer was given by
Pastor Behling.
