Jarocki, Nancy Susan (Marriage – 10 July 1976)
Miss Nancy Jarocki and John James Jalowitz were married Saturday, July 10, in a
3 p.m. ceremony performed at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp. The Rev. John
Puerner, pastor, officiated, together with the Rev. Richard Fliss. A reception
was held at the Quonset Hall in Thorp.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Anthony C. Jarocki and Mr. and Mrs. Al
Jalowitz, all of Rt. 1 Withee.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in an entrained,
long-sleeved, mandarin-collared gown of white taffeta, featuring embroidered
daisy lace edging and applique accents and fashioned with a fitted bodice and
nylon tulle overskirt. Her net veil edged in embroidered daisies was attached to
a daisy crown. A variety of summer flowers with daisies, carnations,
stephanotis, baby’s breath and roses predominating, formed her bouquet.
Debra Jarocki was the bride’s honor attendant and Peggy Ogurek of New London,
Donna Gustafson of Stanley and Shelli Jarocki were her bridesmaids. The maid of
honor was dressed in a mandarin-collared, puffed-sleeved light blue gown with an
overlay of white eyelet. The bridesmaids dresses wee similarly styled in royal
blue. Their bouquets combined daisies, carnations, baby’s breath, roses and
stephanotis.
Serving as bestman was Kim Pomputis, Withee. Ken Jalowitz, David Jarocki and Jim
Jalowitz acted as groomsmen. Ushering duties were shared by Jim Wegner, Thorp,
and Richard Swiontek, Green Bay.
Mike Gustafson, Stanley, was the ringbearer and Brenda Wegner, Thorp, the
flowergirl.
A Latin Mass was sung in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary by the choir, with Joe
Possely as director. Roger Truckey was the organist.
The bride is a 1976 graduate of Owen-Withee High School. Her husband graduated
from the same school in 1974 and is engaged in farming.
Following a wedding trip to Illinois and Michigan, they will live on Rt. 1
Withee.
