Morrison, Clara (9 November 1889 – 12 July 1976)

Funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 1 o’clock from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home for Mrs. Clara Morrison, 86, who died Monday, July 12, at the Bethel Convalescent Center at Arpin where she had been a resident for the past 10 years. The Rev. Joseph Henseler at St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate, and burial will follow in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Morrison, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Schaefer, was born November 9, 1889, in Wood County and received her education in Clark County schools. She farmed with her husband in the Neillsville area and later moved to the city.

Twice widowed, her first marriage was to James Lynch in 1915. Mr. Lynch died in 1931. She was married to Ira Morrison in 1942.

Survivors include six sons, Norman Lynch of Neillsville, Clarence Lynch of New Berlin, James Lynch of Milwaukee, Robert Lynch of Neillsville, Anthony Lynch of Brookfield and Andrew Hanson of Marshfield; two brothers, Leo Schaefer of Marshfield and Vernon Schaefer of Milan; and 30 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
