A son, Shad Aaron, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Merwin, Milwaukee. He arrived October 11, 1971 and weighed seven pounds, six ounces.

Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ben P. Merwin of Abbotsford and Mrs. Ernest Ruesch of Medford.

Also of Abbotsford are the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold F. Merwin. The maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Carroll, resides in Kenosha.

There are a brother, Todd, and a sister, Kristina, at home.
